ABOUT US >

The Loon Lake Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, sharing and celebrating the rich history of the Loon Lake area. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers who are passionate about sharing the stories of our community. The Old Schoolhouse is a living museum, located thirty miles north of Spokane, WA. This 1929 rural school building has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1992.

Our mission is to collect, document, and display artifacts, photographs, and other historical materials related to the Loon Lake area. We invite you to visit our Old Schoolhouse museum, gift shop, and history room to learn more about our community's fascinating past.

Come visit us on Saturdays 10-4 from May through September and explore our free museum exhibits, browse our gift shop, and add your family history to our archives.

We host a Summer Festival one Saturday in August, inviting vendors and artisans, a car show, community booths, historical exhibits and food and music all day!
